Despite a good win for the Bird Man on board 2, and a draw for Peter Anderton on board 4, losses on boards 1 and 3 condemned us to a 2.5 - 1.5 defeat at Wigston 5 on Thursday evening. With only 3 matches left to play we are 6 points adrift of the teams above us and the Wooden Spoon looks inevitable.
