Ashby 2 beat Anstey by 5-3 last night to gain their first win in this year's Harrod Cup. The match looked to be heading for a draw right up until the end, until Paul Gibson's opponent blundered away a winning position. Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Paul pounced for an unexpected win to give us all of the points. Special mention to Tom Gerrard as well, who won both of his games against Ashby old boy Mike Griffiths.
