Apologies for the delay in posting this but I have just had surgery on one of my eues and I'm trying to avoid looking at a computer sctreem !!

Ashby 2 took the bragging rihts in their Harrod Cup match against Ashby 1, with a 5-3 win that takes then up to 3rd in the table. Ashby 1 will now play Wigston in the 4th round on the 16th July, while Ashby 2 will play Heathcote Arms on the 30th July. Both of these are home fxtures.

In the Club Championship, Patrick Buckley beat IM Ian Maskery, despite Ian being a piece and pawn up at one stage he tells me.

In the U1450 Championsip, the two Pauls - Harrison and Mayer, drew their 4th round match, as did The Bird Man and Ben McDermott.
