There were 3 matches played in the Summer Cups this week.
Ashby 1 travelled to Heathcote Arms on Tuesday and came away with a resounding 6.5 - 1.5 win in the Harrod Cup.
It was a different story on Wednesday as Ashby 2 were only able to muster 3 players, putting us 2-0 down before the match even started. Unsurprisingly, they were unable bridge the gap and went down by 5-3.
Thursday evening saw top of the table Anstey, spearheaded by Ashby old boy Alan Agnew, visit Ashby in the Wylie Cup. We were massively outrated and only a draw from Andrew Wilson in one of his two games prevented the whitewash and a 7.5 - 0.5 defeat ensued.
In other news, James Foster beat Graham Bird in the 3rd round of the Club Championship.
