Welcome to the Ashby Ivanhoe Chess Club website. We meet on Thursday evenings from 19:30 onwards at the Ivanhoe Social Club, Wilfred Place, Ashby, LE65 2GW. We are open to members of all ages and abilities, whether novice or experienced, so please come along and join us. You are assured of a warm welcome. Use the tabs below to navigate the website. We are holding our AGM at 8pm on Thursday 26th August, and hope to be able to announce that we will be able to revert to normal club nights on Thursdays starting at 7pm, after 1st September.

We played a very enjoyable friendly match at Market Harborough on Thursday. It went down to the wire, with the scores level and the last game on Board 3 looking like being a draw. But Mick Brown played an excellent end game and we ended winning 7.5 - 6.5.
